I'm so happy to have you here at Clamme's Chaotic Coop + Kennel. Our facility is located in Hartford City just down my driveway at my home. I have personally resided in Blackford County since 2013. I do love & enjoy not only our community but also surrounding ones,. My love for animals runs deep, from as early as I can remember in my childhood.
Adulthood led me to the dental field, where I worked in Muncie for many years. I decided to get my pet grooming certificate in 2021 for my own personal use on my dogs. That soon led to just doing some grooming on friends and families pets, then to filling my days off from the dentist office with grooms done in my laundry room. We soon decided with the help & encouragement from friends & family to renovate our existing barn on our property, not only for grooming but for boarding too.
Fate played a huge part in this, while in the early reno stages on the barn, the dental office I had been employed with gave a 12-hour notice that it was closing its doors, for good. That lit a fire under us that this dream of mine, was in fact in full swing & going to happen.
My husband, Kacy, worked hard after his full time job farming, he was coming home & working until well into the night to get this done for me.
What an enormous blessing this has been for me & my family. Until now I had never worked in the same county as I have lived. I love staying local, seeing the community support me as a small business & also myself donating, giving back & being more involved in the community. From contributing to fundraisers, silent auctions & sponsoring a youth sports team. It has brought me & my family so much joy. 
So, Hi, I'm Shanna Clamme. I own & operate Clamme's Chaotic Coop + Kennel. I've been married to my farming husband for 10 years. We have three incredible humans together. They keep us SO busy, they each are so heavily involved in extracurriculars. I breed AKC Pembroke Welsh Corgis, we have eight dogs of our own: five corgis/corgi mixes, two Bernese Mountain Dogs, & a Gordon Setter. We have three cats, 14 rabbits, more chickens that I ever care to officially count, a few goats, an adorable herd of cows, a saltwater fish tank + a tortoise named Moe. We are a 4-H family & my kids love to raise & show chickens, rabbits, boer goats, & cattle. Together, in all our spare time (LOL) my husband & I run a small beef cattle herd & we love to garden & can together.
The outpouring support that the kennel has received & continues to receive since opening has been incredible. Words cannot express how much all of you mean to me. I look forward to meeting you & your pups in the future.
